Chainsaw trousers, boots and helmet are all the PPE I wear. I'm usually in orange high vis shirt sleeves on the job but if it's super cold I'll throw a jacket on like a light duck down I don't mind getting shredded by brambles. Only bother with full high vis on roadside jobs or when stopping foot traffic. When doing arboricultural jobs in people's gardens there's really no need for high vis. Wouldnt skimp on PPE doing serious forestry, but I'm not wrapped up in cotton wool if I'm cutting firewood at the yard.

Obviously in the US hardcore wildland firefighters and shit are loaded down with all manner of safety gear, as they should be.
