to try to get this thread back on topic, people often dress poorly here because they're experimenting. fashion is presumably a hobby or interest for most people here, so as they learn more about fashion and view runways, etc, they want to try to bring the things they saw and liked into their day to day lives. Maybe someone saw the last gucci show and wants to try to be as in your face with colors and patterns as they can be. Or they saw the last Rick show and want to try to become a goth ninja. While they may look awful the majority of the time, most people use the failures to help them craft better outfits. They can see what pieces work together and how to mix and match effectively, even if its something as basic as getting clothes that fit correctly and are complementary to their body type. Its the same thing with any other hobby. People into computers are always changing up their builds and making new ones when new processors come out or when they see something that looks cool. Or just getting super into cable management and custom water-cooling. Another example would be car enthusiasts, who are always looking at new mods for their cars, and trying to squeeze as much horsepower as they can out of their cars, and turning them into a vehicle that reflects themselves.
While this board has plenty of faults, it primarily stands as a bottom rung for neet autists who realized if they want to actually do anything in life they cant wear videogame shirts with cargo shorts. The good posters arent here because they all grew out of this place, or just stick around to shitpost.
Lastly, if you feel the need to bring nazis into this, you must be new to 4chan because nazis worship and racism is part and parcel of this website. its always been here and it always will be.

TLDR: this board is just for people trying to learn the basics. If you're past that, then dont expect much else
