Hugo Boss was only a subcontractor, Karl Diebitsch did the actual designing for the M32. It's not reaaaaally a military uniform though, it was paramilitary SS uniforms for peacetime and for actual combat training they wore field grey or linen drillich uniforms, and after 37 the M32s were phased out in favor of fieldgrey M37s. The leftovers were later given to the Dutch and also modified to be used as SchuMa (eastern police recruited from locals to root out bandits and jews) uniforms.
