a lot of the appeal with dip dye is that it enables colors to distort proportions
ever heard of light colors making things look big and dark things making them looks small?

A white to black top to bottom gradient on black jeans would draw a more attention to the white top half and contribute to the appearance of a masculine V taper


anyway horizontal color blocking can look nice but it can also be really jarring especially if it's centered

proportioning the dyes along the lines of pic related would probably look nice
