The Milgauss is an poseur dog of a watch from Rolex that is meant to be extremely shock resistant and anti-magnetic...yet is only tested by Rolex itself to 4000 gauss and has a metallic hairspring that objectively speaking WILL magnetize and deform if exposed to enough magnetism or shock. Meanwhile, nearly every single modern Omega watch has a silicon hairspring that is completely a-magnetic (not just anti-magnetic), will literally never deform, and can be worn inside an MRI at 15,000+ gauss and survive. And, you don't have to take Omega's word for it because they willingly subject all of their watches to an independently regulated Swiss government test to confirm this.

So, get a Milgauss if you want a relatively cheap steel Rolex but if you're considering it for its technological bonafides (which Rolex markets it on) then you're much better served by a Railmaster or literally any other new Omega model. Pic related.
