Just because they're both sports cars doesn't make one a bootleg version of the other, especially for a high-variety marque like Chevrolet. By that logic literally any car could be called a "wannabe" of another.

I will agree that fourth-gen Camaros are dreadful, but Camaros really aren't sports cars. They've always been pony or muscle, made to compete primarily with the Mustang. Not necessarily good pony or muscle, but hey.

Honestly, American cars aren't all that bad nowadays. Yeah, it was rough for a while, but those days are mostly behind us. I wouldn't buy one myself, but they're decent.
Of course, you probably don't care, and are just looking to shit on other people instead of having an actual discussion. Whatever floats your boat I guess, this is 4chan after all.
