I have a couple G-Shocks, several F-91W's and some other Casios.
The one that gets the most wrist time is the F-91W.
The two reasons are:
>it's light and slim
>it's perfectly durable for my daily activities
The G-Shocks, though cool, ended up being unnecessary.
I still have my G-Shocks and one of them is used fairly regularly for specific tasks.
However, for my daily use, the F-91W is absolutely perfect.
The only thing I'd suggest is getting after market straps.
That's what makes it so wearable.

I have adapters for my F-91W.
Now it takes whatever soft 20mm straps I want.
If you're not immediately tossing the factory straps, then your assessment reasonable.
For reasons I can't explain, I just like the F-91W more.
