Inspo threads are where it's at.
The majority of /fa/ is embarrassingly inarticulate, unable to communicate why they even dislike or like what they do. Images provide a shortcut. You can just show people what you like. People show you what they like and you get a little window into their taste. I don't know about the rest of the board, but if I see an outfit that surprises me that I don't understand, I'll look at it for a while and try to appreciate why someone posted it. I think it helps that I used to be really into music and developed the same approach.

The images are why I've been coming here for so long. They're so concise. A thousand words you know? The day I started my fashion folder was the day I began to visually articulate my own tastes and it really helped me understand why I like what I do. I highly recommend it. Be discerning too. It's just as important as being open minded if not more.

I deleted my fashion folder to make room for music because my HDD is tiny but I did begin to re-fill it recently. Only runway stuff and I've dumped half of it already but I can contribute again.
