I have a question that doesn't deserve it's own thread concerning an fall/winter coat and where to get what I want

I am 5'7" looking for a long green coat (not full on trench coat just mid thigh) that is practical yet tailored.
D (Yugoslav military coat at my local military surplus) here ranks highest on practicality (removable liner, inner breast pocket, warm and durable) but obviously fits like shit (I look like a school shooter kid, not what I'm going for) and I don't think it can be tailored (material too thick)
B (from Banana Republic) fits the best but is expensive and doesn't come in the color I want. I only need to tailor the arms shorter which I think a tailor can do
A and C showed up in searches for Korean/Asian men's fashions that I liked but I don't trust online brokers for Asian clothes and they were priced pretty cheap

I'm new to fashion and I don't know where to go or what to expect from what brands. I hate nylon, puffer style jackets, hoods and drawstrings. It must be single breasted, show buttons, look good open or button up, and not be built to fall apart after the season. I would like certain features that I don't have words for ("mandarin"? collar that's wide so my chin goes into it, not tight to the neck, "back button"? feature that looks like it cinches the waist but no wrinkles, shoulder button straps, inner breast pocket, back split and/or special shoulder seam that allows arm movement easier than most jackets)

help anyone? I happen to be female but women's fashion is out of the question because I hate the styles and the arms and shoulders are always too tight
