Well, in order to be a good fashion designer, you have to be open-minded, ahead of the curve and just generally intelligent.
Obviously, people with these traits are also more likely to realise the not-so-black-and-white nature of sexuality, meaning they are prone to ignoring conventional, socially constructed sexual preferences.

Hideously misshapen head, way too prolonged sides with narrow face. Looks alien.
Frankenstein-ish forehead, hairline starting 3 inches after it should.
Awful acne, got better with age, but I am still a pepperoni face.
A front top tooth being placed in front of the rest of the teeth, making me look like a hillbilly when someone notices. Think the redneck dude from Simpsons.
Crooked nose, not really noticeable in real life, but glaringly obvious in pictures.
Awful, awful facial hair, no hair on my cheeks or the underside of my chin.
No Adam's apple whatsoever, just a boring, womanly neck.
Assymetrical collarbones resulting in shoulders being in different heights.
Pectus excavatum aka a hole the size of a tennis ball in my chest.
Child bearing hips.

I always find this "argument" quite amusing because it shows how detached militant non-smokers are from reality.
I smoke quite a lot, 10-15 a day, yet my clothes don't smell at all. No, that's not just my own opinion, I've been told so repeatedly by people who had no reason to lie, including my rabid health freak friends and family.
Smoking itself isn't the problem, being a disgusting hermit and smoking indoors is. But that's not my case.
