guys, im here to shed some light on all this, and give you an interesting history lesson concerning the doc marten boots.
Now, as we all know, the originals were made in england and are of superior quality. You can still sometimes find these old ones, manufactured up through the 80's, sometimes on ebay. The doc marten company recently came out with a vintage "made in england" line, because many ppl wanted something true to the original that was not one of the shittily made in vietnam or made in china current models. sadly, (like the poster above who included a pic), the new vintage made in england ones are NOT of the same quality as the originals, not even close.

There is , however, hope. You have 2 choices. Either find the old original made in englad docs off of ebay, if you dont mind a used pair, or option 2 which has not been mentioned here, if you want the original made in england docs which are made to the original quality and specifications, the "Solovair" boot company is closest you can get and is produced in the original uk factory using the same standards as the originals. good day, lads.
