No, but you can use one to save your patterns and patches built from the onboard sounds. You can do a lot with them, believe me. If you want groovebox functionality with sampling, look up the MC-909. A lot more expensive, probably.

I run the turntable into a mixer, and output the mixer via line into the sampler. I have another sampler that uses fiber optic line ins, and another that takes WAV files via USB.
Basically, you record yourself playing the original recording.

You can shape the hell out of the sounds that are already on it, as well as stack groups of sounds together that trigger as one sound. Any sort of pitching and filtering you can imagine.
