I have long hair at the moment (maybe 2 inches past shoulder length) but I've been thinking of cutting it off recently and getting something like this

I'm trying to gauge whether or not this guy's hair is relatively fine or thick, as mine is definitely pretty fine and I'm not sure if I could get the same texture

Can anybody tell based off this picture?

Pic related is my goal, but my face at the moment is pretty much fucked - acne, scarring, pale, weak features, et cetera. All stuff I'm working on, but right now I'm a long way below average. Will I look like a fucking idiot if I bring in a picture of a model/actor and say "I wanna look like this"?
