Yeah, but it had to be done. I'm convinced the mainspring detached from the movement, so it wasn't working anyway. But Omega has been raising the price of servicing almost every 2 years now where I am, so I had to get it done before it became prohibitively expensive. I know a lot goes into it, and hopefully the end result is worth it (I'm convinced it is) but lately money has been tighter than before, so I have had to take these kinds of things into consideration. I love wearing it, and I've worn it through the most important points in my life so far. But the economy just isn't doing well for me...such is life.

The quartz version is cool, though in all honesty it never appealed to me because I like to hear the sound of the mechanism. What made you go with that choice, if I may ask?
