No, they're $10.
However, when you factor in a new strap plus shipping and handling, yes, your little $15 beater is now like $50 or something. I have a few of them and I like them.

Yes, my watches are more accurate than a Rolex.
They're also super comfy.
Thanks for noticing!

I'm saving up for a good mechanical.
I know I could pick up something very decent for a couple hundred bucks.
The Hamilton Murph 38 is very near what I like.
I prefer smaller "classic" sizes to the newer 40mm trends.
Ideally, I would get a 34mm with an 18mm band width, no day, no date, three hander.
The markets mostly have odd sizes and date complications.
Close to what I like, though not really what I want.
Until I find exactly what I want I'm holding off.
I'll just save money and then probably pick up an oyster perpetual.
I'm not really interested in anything too flashy or cool.
I only want a durable and accurate watch that will last.
Also, yes, those LARPy pics were a direct reference to Romanian anon.
And, yes, those are some of the watches I own.
Anyone can post pics of watches and say things.
For now I will enjoy my little beaters because I actually do like them.

I like the reduced profile and the muted colors of the A158.
The A168 has more wrist presence, though the "dial" a bit bright for my tastes.
They're both near disposable, so I have both.
The A158 get more wrist time.
A168 has an objectively better backlight, but that's not important to me.
The A700 with the flat slat bracelet had sharp corners that kept scratching me.
Also, strangely, it was "too thin" for my tastes.
I ended up gifting the A700 to someone who now wears it daily.
My current daily beater is an F-91W on a Watch Gecko strap.
I'm thinking about going back to the A158.
There's a real charm to a complete beater dressed up to look fancier than it is.
For me it will always be the A158.
The coolest bullshit watch ever made.
