I think this year will be doing my first big watch purchase, I like space and stuff, so obviously the speedy was the first option, then I saw fortis watches carried by russians and they are growing on me. As the time passes and I read stuff, I came to the same point, the speedy is not a watch, it's an icon, a meme, something that ''must be in every collection'', man on the moon, speedy tuesdays...it's sooo mainstream. I like watches because I like knowing the time, I appreciate them as tools, and the speedy is not a tool anymore, 10 years ago its price was way lower, 10 years later it hasn't a tool pricetag anymore and its specs are the same.That's why i think I'm gonna get the fortis, seems more of a tool watch, day,date, workhorse movement, rotating bezel, and the brand, probably nobody knows about it even when its old and their watches have been on the space countless times.

Really? It looks like an upgrade to Speedy to me. Of course it can't have 1/5 second markings for some reason so it's automatically trash. If it had that I would've ordered it yesterday.
