I didn't want to make a thread so I'll ask here

the burgundy brogues in the front left, I've ground the soles to shit and a simple heel replacement won't suffice, the both soles must be replaced. Instead of leather sole replacements I've been entertaining the notion of Vibram soles instead, as the shoes are the right color to contrast the white (and they'd be more comfortable). Would this be a good idea? What is y'all's collective experience with re-soling shoes, and what should I ask for to the cobbler in mind about this?

not boots but I have a pertinent question and saw no need to create a thread. I'm thinking about resoling the rightmost front-row shoes as I ground the heel guard into oblivion and both soles will need to be replaced. I'm thinking about replacing them with Vibram soles instead of leather, has anyone here done this and if so, did it turn out well?
