But for real, though >>15332013 is the correct answer, but
>russian chronos with cal3133
doesn't really apply if you buy new. Nowadays it's all Seagull, unless you find some russian remnants. Still a good looking watch.

>>Post watches that have gone to space.
>Like, the literal watch that was worn on a mission?
But beisdes that, I don't have many pictures of the real deal. But I have a few reissues.
So here's another Soviet.

Just get the latin dial version then.
Ironically, that's as original as the cyrillic one, since apparently soviet watches were always produced in latin variants for export, and the soviet citizens thought that export quality must be better than domestic stuff, so even in Russia, latin dials were preffered, so a lot of those watches leaked out of the factory to be sold domestically on the grey market.
Or so I have read.
But I don't notice no error, since I can't read cyrillic and only speak like 3 half sentences of russian.

>20K is definitely 50K less if you don't save it in the future, but will you live to see that future?
I'd hope so. I'm in Europe, so there's a good chance that I will not die of Corona or Corona-induced civil war.
>Furthermore, will it matter?
well, 20k can get me a lot of stuff that'll bring me more enjoyment (or utility) than a watch, so I'd opt for that. Plus, those 50k will help my kid to get a better start at life, so there's that.
>it's what you can enjoy in this lifetime before it's too late.
But I'm already enjoying my life! The only thing missing currently is being able to go out (both as in out and meet friends, and out for /out/ purposes) and a watch won't replace that. In fact, I bought me a new shitter that literally arrived 3 days before lockdown started and I kept it wound in the first 2 days of lockdown and then I just put it into a drawer, because, for what purpose?
But to each their own.

At least it's more refreshing than the usual Rolex shilling.
>>15129650
Haven't tried it yet, due to corona, but I'd say unless it's really, really formal, it absolutely can.

I'm a sucker for russian watches, and a retro russki digital sounds like just the thing, but lol, reading russian? Nope.

>>>15074039 here, here's some more news from pretend-Soviet Union:
>>It shows the time
It really does! But it gained like a minute or so over 30h. So it ain't no SUPERLATIVE ROLEX CHRONOMETER!!!!!!!!, but it's perfectly workable.
>>It's a stopwatch!
Turns out the 60 dial on the left is a small second and not 60 minutes of the stopwatch, the minutes is the 30 dial on the right, which is really confusing to quickly read when xou're used to 60 dials.. Hasn't got an hours dial for stopping. Also, the minutes dial has weird tics (3, 6 and 9 are bigger, and then after 10, it's increments of 5 that are slightly bigger, but barely so)
>>In a thunderstorm, I can now measure how far away the lightning is
And I can also measure how far way that artillery on the next hill is…
Oh, but burgers can't! while a tachymeter is unit agnostic, the telemeter is fixed to kilometres.
>>It's better finished than the vostok, but it's not perfect (but perfectly OK for what it is)
If you look really close, you see some imperfections, but all in all, it's really nice!
>>The black dial isn't as easy to read as it seems like in the pics
Indeed. The mix of lots of reflections, black, tiny hands and a very busy dial makes it hard to glance. Rough time isn't a problem, but if you're using the stopwatch, it's kinda hard.
How did the astronauts do it? Is it just a matter of getting used to it?
