I think I understand it on a different level than you. one of the dictionary definitions is as such : A state of physical ease and freedom from pain or constraint.

When discussing comfort from clothes a lot of times people will say they are comfortable when the clothes fit in a certain way. i.e. sweat pants and t-shirts and stuff like that which is form freeing.

Personally, I feel a wonderful sense of comfort from knowing that I look good and others around me would think so too, in certain settings. That's why I wrote that line.
