>Fort & Manlé Amber Absolutely
I picked it up as I read that that's the amber fragrance to rule them all and a reviewer that I respect said that it's strictly better than Ambra Aurea, so I had to give it a go. First thought after the initial spray - amber with a big dose of honey. The scent that I know it from my grandfather. He used to have a few beehives in his orchard where bees could collect fruit trees' flowers pollen all summer and what resulted in a lovely and very fragrant honey he used to give us each year a big jar of. Then I looked at notes and I wasn't very off - the dominant note is plum and blackberry + sweet benzoin. I understand the comparison o Profumum Roma as it seems to be the same kind of complex amber used here. The fragrance has the same sweet-fruity and dark-resinous vibe throughout all phases. It's too sweet for me and I prefer Ambra Aurea/ACCD over it but if you're looking for something sweeter or love plums then oh my, you're for a treat here.
>Menditorrosa Osang
I'm surprised that no woody note are listed. It smells like Ikea or Home Depot furniture section remains smoldering after the fire. But it's much more complex than that. Very dry woody, incense fragrance with something fruity-floral hidden deep underneath. I must test it on my skin and give it a proper day or two of testing. It's very meditative and mysterious. Almost like a koan waiting to be solved.
>Filippo Sorcinelli LAVS
Now that's an amazing story. The guy who stands behind this fragrance has been creating vestments for popes for any years (what makes it even more unbelievable that the dude is very far away from the image of a meek god-fearing choirboy you might have in your mind) and LAVS is what he sprays these vestments with before sending them. Now when it comes to the scent then it's your typical Catholic Church incense with a refreshing bright peppery-citric accord as known from Avignon, Heeley Cardinal and handful others.
