I went 3 years without putting a sole protector on and everything was still fine, but when I did get sole protectors applied, I asked for a particular kind with high traction, they did not do what I asked and it's just some rubber slab that barely gives me more traction than the leather sole, I'm still a bit irritated about that, I need to go get those replaced.

After 3 years they were not even close to needing any kind of sole or heel replacement though.

These were those soles brand new though, ridiculous that they look like wood.
