Oh god I'm one of them.

I mean, my primary values are improving living quality world wide via technology, education, and communication and I do think the market is a tool, among others, to meet that goal and not an end to itself, so I guess I don't know what I was expecting.

I don't think we should be sacreficing our culture, just that other cultures really aren't contradictory to ours if you can get over the sigma. Like, if people are intelligent and want what's best for each other we'll eventually just breed the best traits out of every culture and smack them into one, right, and it'll have all the good traits from ours and from others. I really don't see what assimilating, say, Darmic values of responsibility and owning your social roles will have against our sense of individuality and... responsibility. Honestly they seem like they both benefit from the other.
