Is Creed Aventus worth it?

This shit smells like some shitty Axe bodyspray I used when I was 13
Why is this so hyped again?

Do you believe rumours that Pierre Bourdon created Aventus? There's a lot of similarities between various Creed frags and Bourdon frags (GIT/CW, Orange Spice/Kouros), and I mean it's likely that the Creed family just markets and distributes the fragrances.

Man oh man I can't wait to wear this later in the office. All the ladeez' will be mirin' and my boss and coworkers will finally show me the respect I deserve.

Thinking of dishing out on a bottle of Aventus after really enjoying a sample, but the whole batch code/reformulation debate is making me hesitant. Is it just a mixture of anosmia and autism that is leading people to slate the new batches? Would it still be worth it even if the batch happens to brecent?
