If you really do work in finance you should be able to stretch your budget a whole lot further, considering a business student like me (who comes from a poor background) can afford to spend 3x your budget on a coat.

If you buy cheap shit, your finance buddies will probably just laught at you behind your back. Is that what you want, OP? No? Then go for MTM from a reputable tailor. I think B&Tailor occasionally visits Australia, and they aren't too expensive either.

No, I'll be picking it up from them.

I had my fitting last Thursday and they said it would be finished later next week (this week), but I'm guessing the tailor has quite a lot of business right now so it'll probably be completely finished early next week.

I'm just very inpatient and not cut out for this whole MTM/semi-bespoke business, senpai.

Check out their 'Design your suit'-programme, they might have that fabric available through that.

I wouldn't recommend going for a 3p-suit unless you live in a cold environment and- or have a very formal job.

Yes, a 3p-suit can be worn without the waistcoat, there's no problem there.
