In May I'm going to be hiking in the Scottish highlands for a couple of weeks, so I need some decent boots. It'll be day hiking so I won't be carrying a bunch of shit and I don't think I'll need super serious boots, so I'd rather buy some nicer looking /fa/ boots that I can also wear casually since I don't hike very often.

So far it seems like Danner Mountain Lights are an ok balance between being /fa/ and being practical, am I on the right track? These are like $300+ which is more than I would like to spend, are there any cheaper alternatives?
