I've wanted to do this for yrs, luckily I finally found some cheap dollarstore black linen and wrapped it around and threw on some tech runners and some boots and loved them

For a VERY long time I felt like I was the only person that thought about incorporating puttees into modern street fashion

How old are you?

I think I first saw starwars episodes 4/5/6 When I was like 4/5yrs old, then saw 1 when it came out in theatres when I was 7 on my birthday, then saw 2 when that came out, then 3 when i was 12, weird to know that kids today never watched the originals and their 1st starwars was T.F.A and Rogue One... strange indeed..

Ended up getting some sand colored mesh ribbon from Dollarama and using that as a make shift puttee, probably just gonna get some sand colored tensor bandages for cheap at a different dollar store and see how that works out, they look cool but feel tight.

Where can I buy 6" boots like these? All the military boots I find are too long for what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a completely black leather boot in general, but boots I'm looking at either aren't fully black (e.g., Red Wing Beckmans), or don't have a lugged sole. I'm in Montreal, Canada and need to walk through a little snow sometimes.

Wear early 20th century military inspired clothing. Puttees/leg-wrappings were widely used during World War I, and also by many during World War II, and somewhat afterwards, as well. You could easily incorporate leg-wrappings with khaki or olive drab pants, shirts, and jackets. The boots should be rather low, though, as the point of these was that full-topped boots were not worn, and leg-wraps took their place due to the economy of the practice.

There's no way anyone could justify wearing these in a city but I'm honestly considering it. Most of my clothes are pretty militaristic as is and I don't really give a fuck what the general public will think about them. I always thought a black pair of puttees with black/slate cargo joggers and a OD parka would be a sick fucking fit, esp in fall and winter
I'd love to see something like puttees come back into fashion, which is probably why I was happy that the tapered skinny fitted jogger fad happened since it was the closest thing
And I love the earthy tones and colors and thick heavy duty durable materials of milsurp and how they look

Dressing like you belong in a trench trying not to die from poison gas is a bit hard to pull off. I don't know anyone who wears puttees irl. Some outdoorsmen still wear gaiters on the regular, but puttees are outdated.

I've been lurking /fa/ for a looong time and there is WAAAY too many insecure threads about "is this effay?" Or "is that effay?" "Is this music I like effay?" "Is my doge effay?" "If you like this you're not effay" " if you like that you are effay"

After a few yrs of looking at lots of different "___"cores I've found a few styles and themes I like, and i think are effay to me and I love them to death, but do I ask the Internet if it's effay or not? No. cause I don't give a shit about that, as long as you know the basics of fashion and color pallettes the rest is up to you to decide what is effay to you and what isn't.
