So I wanted to buy a jacket or an overall like worn in the Alien movie. I searched ebay and some sketchier places without finding what I need.
Now I have no idea what to do with the overall, but the jacket should be borderline presentable in public. Any ideas? I could try to modify one myself, but I'd have to re learn how to use a sewing machine and actually acquire a sewing machine beforehand and I have no idea how the materials are called I'd have to obtain, including a jacket to begin with and it would look like the first thing I sewed for a decade and I don't really feel like doing that... yet.

It's basically about the diamond stitching that still looks commercial
The elastic or shoestring webbing meant to tighten it
And the cuts overall.
And it should look period correct, I don't want ripstop fabric, other modern materials or cutting.

I know it's vague, but I'd be happy to get some inspiration or keywords.
