It costs alot to look good in menswear, even moreso than goof(excluding having to have every piece tailored). Plus you'll never get the look like GQ models etc.

Also the over-formality is another point, it's incredibly hard not to overdress when your wardrobe consists of expensive dress shirts and dress pants. Would you wear them to the supermarket?
