my vintage docs. Apparently the old ones and solovair are basically one and the same.

Why do you hate DMs?

I copped a pair of vintage made in england ones (late 80s) off ebay and they are

>incredibly comfortable
>pretty much indestructible
>look cool
>can wear them on feet all day
>completely waterproof yet my feet don't seem to sweat in them
>get a lot of compliments
>polish up nicely

Looks are subjective but you can't argue that its a seriously well made boot as far as the old made in englands are concerned. Even after 1 year of really heavy use in a warehouse kicking the shit out of trollies, pallets and boxes they still look great.

I love the look of them. It's a matter of taste. I like how they look so simple yet elegant, and are really well made (at least the old ones that were made in england.

They are also amazingly comfortable. I am on my feet constantly at my job in a warehouse for up to 10 hour shifts and these boots are absolute life savers. With scholl inserts they are the best footwear I've ever had. So they get treated pretty roughly, although I do take care not to let anything drop on my toes because they are a rather nice boot for a heavy work environment.

After 1 year they polish up nicely and look very professional in the workplace, lots of people compliment me on them. They are ridiculously tough and hard wearing and its nice to have a 'bounce' or spring in each step when I walk, it makes every step feel just a little easier and less hard on the feet and over the course of my day (I might take up to 20,000 steps in one day according to my phone app) that's important.

Only complaint I have is that the soles wear out kind of fast but I guess you can't have it both ways when you have a soft sole.

Mine are vintage made in england docs, I got them brand new for a bargain off ebay, £75 I think. Seller reckons they are late 80s or early 90s.

That is why I wear them, because at least where the made in england docs are concerned they are among the best footwear for blue collar workers.
