because people like horikawa have a monopoly on their design. literally no one else makes outwear like him (or rick, or yohji, or damir, or demeulemeester, etc). stuff like this seems cut and dried at first but when it comes down to details, cut, textile, etc., what's out there that's really expensive is because of simple supply and demand. like, the very precondition that you have to ask other people where to find a 'gothninja' design is evidence enough of its scarcity. if designs like rick's bomber (see pic) were so available and cheaply made in the market, you'd be able to find it yourself. but no, H&M, topman, uniqlo, basically all the fast-fashion fuccboi-marts play it safe, plain, and boring to keep their enormous volume of clothes moving off the shelf. they're not willing to take the stylistic risk.
