What would look best on the side not pictured? Should there be a sort of undercut overhang, or just short with a bit of blend like on the side pictured?

Please help me, /fa/. Literally never done anything with my hair all my life Thinking of going for something like pic since my hair is basically like that now with the fringe, except big and long as shit everywhere.

Should I be looking for some sort of salon or will just a bog-standard barber shop do? Can I just take the picture to show the barber or would they be offended or something?
