The GS we're talking about is one of only two Grand Seikos with movements finished by the micro artist studio.
The technical finishing level is higher than Lange, who finish their mainplates with narrow and flat 45 degree anglage.

That's one of the 10 people from Seiko's "Micro Artist Studio".
They only put out 30 watches per year (including the 9R01 movements for Grand Seiko).

Small wonder that their finishing is finer than that of Lange, who put out thousands of watches every year.
