What's the best way to wear boots with jeans?

Jeans going over the boots, cuffed at the top, or tucked inside?

not sure man, if you take a look at the 1460 (pic related) the stitching is in the black leather above the sole while the Tobias has it's stitching in its dark brown(?) sole.

I'm pretty sure you might be able to cop some oil based marker in a similar color as the sole on the Tobias and carefully dark out the stitching tho

How to make the yellow stitching black?
Like the look of the boots but I hate the yellow stitching. I know it's a big part of the dr martens aesthetics but I just think it looks tacky.
