How to take better pictures/selfies?

>little to no response, epitome of disappointment
>facecam or meetup irl with her for the first time

Is it the angles I'm using? I see other people take the same ones and they still look attractive, or maybe I'm delusional about how my face looks or what angles they are using. I feel like it's dishonest to use good angles but even if I wanted to I don't know what "cheating angles" look like. Please halp, my social media profile pictures have been weird funny pictures of black guys for months. I'm autistic btw.
