Can't feel your chin or your lower jaw for a while. When the procedure is done, they break your jaw to correct any alignment issues, and then they cut your jaw, move it forward, and put metal screws in to hold it in place until the bone fully heals. The process will stretch the nerve in your jaw, so it'll take some time for the nerve to adjust. There's a chance that it never fully adjusts, and the damage is permanent, but in all honesty, you get used to it and don't care about it.

The only pictures of me pre-surgery that I wasn't forcing my jaw forward or facing some weird angle to look normal are when I was in elementary school. All I really have are post-op pictures, and some photos of my face when it was swollen to hell (they're pretty funny though)

I've posted this picture in threads before, and though my face is a little lopsided now due to complications I had, I'm happy with the results and I feel better about how I look.
