I own a version that's closer to the shirt Tomoko wears. I wear it often in public and no one bats an eye and have been complimented on it many times, once by another /fa/ggot actually. It's odd that it's so popular when it's hardly in the show. It's good quality but I bought my usual size and it was quite tight so you might want to go up a size if you don't like tight fitting shirts.
