Russian-american here. You people are strange. I love Russia but man they pathetically latch onto American trends 3 years late while pretening they hate the states. Every facet of the pop culture- from the fashion, shows, and music - is just again copying american trends 3 years late. It's pathetic. it's been like this EVER SINCE we left communism and have since been trying to be another America. The only thing preventing us from being Canada in terms of wannabe copycatting is that old remnant of russian soul (i.e. ghetto dirty rough) , if I can say that without looking embarrassing nowadays.

Though it is funny, there they copy America and apparently teens in america copy them to look edgy at the same time.
