I'd suggest to cut the sides, it won't be original but you shoudn't let them grow unless you know what you're doing
Don't shampoo everyday but only 2 or 3 times a week, if you feel their dirty use conditionner or an oil
If they're naturally wavy try to do something like this
and lose 5kg
