hey /fa/, first time here.

So my hair is a mess, I look like a vulture when I go outside on windy days. I never ever got a "stylish" haircut (and I get my hair cut once per year, if that) so I'm really new to this and don't want to fuck up.

Basically I'm looking for an easy to keep DIY hairstyle that requires low maintenance and doesn't look like shit, I also still want to keep some long hair.

I was thinking doing something like Matt Lees (pic on the upper right), do I simply shave both sides? Is there any technique like watching out where my hair flows to one side and cutting there...?

My hair is very curly if I don't dry or straighten it. When I use the hairdryer it stays half straight, half curly. Ideally my new hairstyle would look good with any variation of curly/straight, but on most days I won't bother to straighten it.

Anyway all of my hair "phases" are in the pic, excuse me for the faces but I barely have any normal photos.

Thanks in advance
