Sad but true, take the the coffee machines that used to be a plastic marvels of perseverance outlasting most owners.
They now have shoddy on/off buttons that fails within two years.

I own one, it's more decoration with a function, as with most Starck objects.
It does actually work well if you want to squeeze one lemon for a drink or dish.
But people stupidly expect it to make a gallon of OJ.
