I'm also in Europe. It doesn't matter where you are, it's simply too short. It is fashionable right now, and I guess it's okay since I doubt you'll use it much/for long. Pants also seem to have an extremely low rise, and together it creates a weird balance. I'll post another photo after this post that shows a good balance that you can compare your picture with. You don't have to feel the same way (obviously), but this is just how I feel.
