How does all the transhumanism stuff fit in with your vision of our exploration of deep space? Surely freeing ourselves from our biological limitations is the way to go here? In fact, why send humans at all?

I'm also curious as to when this fad of imagining aliens will die out. When will we finally accept that the search for extraterrestrial life is/will be:
Futile
Disappointing
Not worth it
and concentrate on improving the human race instead of looking for someone else to do it for us?

Also I'm sorry for butting into your conversation like this. It /is/ a public forum after all and I /do/ enjoy shoving my opinion into people's ears. I don't get to geek out like this very often with people who have their own imaginings of the future.
