I cleaned and assembled the movement, but I can't get it to work yet. Then again this movement has some weird shit going on with it, the 38xx being Seiko's first more mass produced quartz movement.

I've been having a bit of a run-in with my parents the last few days, /wt/. I finally found a place I can move out to, that's pretty good and roomy for one person (I can set up at least three workbenches, one for watchmaking, two for hobbies of my choice). I can move in about a month.

It's supposed to be a really good deal, and everyone I know says I should take it, apart from my dad, who went harumpf-harumpf for "some" reason, and decided this is wasted money, and I should wait two more years, so I can take out a 20 year loan and buy a house.

Problem is I'm three months away from 30, I ain't got any more time. What parents don't actually want their almost 30 year old child to finally leave? it's fucking bizarre.

And finally here's how the entire watch looks. Just another plain 70's Seiko, but I got it for the movement anyway.

The aftermarket Maruman bracelet is pretty nice though.
