Smoking cigarettes is infinitely better than smoking weed, doing harder drugs, or abusing alcohol. Cigarettes have been the drug of choice of actually cool fucking people. Writers, politicians, philosophers, businessmen, and all sorts of colorful characters smoked back in the day. Hell, even today, actually cool fucking people are not seen with weed, but with a pack of cigs. The only part of the World where Tobacco is insanely reviled is in the United States and (as far as I know) the UK.

Are cigarettes bad for your health? Absolutely. But all the fuss that is made about them is unwarranted. Despite whatever your stoner friends tell you, weed is worse, and that vice is uncool and proliferating tremendously.
