I also want more options for shoes - willing to spend monies for good shoes, but preferably only ones that I know will fit properly.
Black or white preferably, but anything that would fit in with the wardrobe concept.
Ideas that I've had:
>Black Clarks Desert Mali's (own brown ones w/ green soles, comfy as fuck, qt's dig them but I worry about their durability)
>Doc Marten Tobias (pic related, not quite as sleek as I'd like)
>Common Projects (or other similair white athletic shoe)
Essentially I can only think of black boots and white sneakers but can't think of any (besides CPs) that I know of that are nice, look minimalist enough, and are durable.

do it mang. i got a pair of tobias's, they're a lot lighter and have a different sole. i waterproofed and re-laced them with round laces, they're pretty kickass now and should withstand a new england winter(with thick socks, of course)
