My pair of bull derbies from around 2013 have held up well but that is to be expected when you pay $1500+ for a pair of shoes. I'd look very carefully at Layer-0, MA+, Guidi, and CCP before deciding. They're all pretty comparable quality wise but you should get exactly what you want at the price point. They're not comfortable at first either due to the toe box bend but they will shape to your foot quickly.
