Thanks for the advice. I ended up getting the JVCs because they were half the price of the Sennheisers and I happened to be near a store that had them today.

They sound alright, I guess. The bass is *slightly* more noticeable, but not enough to make a difference for me.

I'm not hearing any super strong bass or V-shaped sound (whatever that means) so I guess my hearing skills are too plebian.

I'll keep your recommendations in mind if/when I feel like getting new headphones though! Thanks :)
