the MP is what they call "handsewn stitchdown" construction, which is the superior traditional handwelted version of PNW boot construction
it is also made on the MP last

the CMP is just regular single row stitchdown construction
it is made on the 5050 last, which is a hybrid frankenstein last of the MP last and 55 last
the slimmer almond toe shape is from the MP and the more bulbous heel and higher arch is from the 55 last, personally i think the combo looks fucking goofy
