I think >>17849722 is correct. The WR on the dial is just what it can achieve sitting static in a pressurized jar. I wouldn’t trust something only rated for 50m to take knocks at depth. I scuba dive and rarely go beyond 100ft deep, but I still think at least 200m is minimum for any “real” dive watch. But that’s just my take.

These low to mid range “homages” are the worst. Like either get a knock off or save up and get the real thing. These mid range fakes cost more, and are equally as disappointing to onlookers, as a regular fake. Save your money and buy a Casio/seiko/Asian shitter until you can get the real thing.

True. I have the redditism of “omega is sooo much better value than Rolex lolololol”.

Like they’re all way overpriced. If you actually want value get a citizen eco-drive diver that will last your way longer, be more accurate, and costs 5% of the price.

If you’re actually really in love with an expensive watch, whether omega/Rolex/breitling/IWC/etc. or whatever, don’t try to rationalize it. There is never a “rational” or “good” reason to buy a $4000+ watch. Don’t lie to yourself, admit that you’re a sucker for marketing, and get the one you really want, not what’s “best value”
