not a huge diff honestly. i have some $65 tee and you're mostly paying for the fabric which might feel better but it wont look that different. the other thing you're paying for is small details like stitching on the hems, collar shape, the cut of the shirt, etc. things that are barely thought of on average t shirts. if you feel those details are worth it, then go ahead. they are usually very subtle differences though.
i got a bunch of gap tees for $4 each and i wear them probably more than my $65 shirts (which i baby lol) and they accomplish the same thing. if i had the money though, all my shirts would be the expensive kind.
